Accommdoation
Cottage
Cosy and full of warmth, the one-floor individual cottages
nestle amid colourful splashes of hibiscus and frangipani
in the 14 hectares palm-grove and open privately on the garden
and the Indian Ocean.
They are grouped in small villages laid out in an arc. Each
cottage houses one Superior or two Standard guest-rooms. There
are also two Royal Suites, each in a more spacious cottage
of its own.Basking in light and the warm shades of coral and
vanilla, the guest-rooms provide all the comfort one might
wish for on a relaxed holiday, including a furnished private
terrace from which to savour the most beautiful sunsets. Room
service is available 24 hours a day.
Standard Rooms
The cottages are grouped in small villages laid out in an
arc.There are 200 Standard guest-rooms of 25 m2 each, some
communicating, which is ideal for families.Bathed in light
and warmth, with fragrant frangipani flowers delicately disposed
here and there and ceiling fans with large blades of marine
wood, the guest-rooms and their terraces are an invitation
to lazing about and day-dreaming.

and feature two single beds, or one double bed, with a built-in
drawer. Equally light and airy, the bathroom has been redesigned,
with separate bath, shower and toilet. Socket (110/220 volts)

Superior Rooms
The 46 Superior guest-rooms, of 35 m2 each, are grouped in
5 small villages immediately fronting the Indian Ocean. Each
occupies a cottage by itself and can accommodate a family
of four (provided the two children are under twelve years
of age) thanks to a sofa-bed or two convertible armchairs.

Royal Suites
Located in the northern part of the resort, the two 78-m2
Royal Suites: Bougainvillaea and Flamboyant, each occupy a
larger cottage. At once very private, with their own private
garden, and close to the heart of the resort, they open onto
the palm-grove and the sea. Superbly appointed in the refined
and elegant Asian style furniture, they are particularly bright
and pleasing, with a large bedroom and separate lounge and
dining-room. The terrace offers a privileged upfront view
of the magnificent beach and crystal-clear sea. Fruit basket
on arrival, bright-coloured bouquets and harmonious arrangements
of frangipani flowers.
(The hushed and luxurious atmosphere enwraps you the moment
you step in. A comfortable lounge, a dining-room for four.
A secretaire, satellite TV, a hi-fi system with an assortment
of CDs, a toilet for visiting guests.Among the bedroom's features:
an elegant and inviting ottoman, a dressing table, a naval

TV with DVD system. Everything here has been designed for
the guests' absolute well-being. The fine bathroom features

The Sugar Club's beauty institute provides all well-being
and beauty treatments - all subject to extra charge - for
a truly rejuvenating experience. Treatments include therapeutic
massage (spa-relaxation, aromatherapy, shiatsu, reflexology
etc.), body care (manicure, pedicure, waxing, etc.), and facial
care (nutri-vital and revitalising masks, etc.). Just relax
and let our beauticians' gentle and expert hands do the rest.
Then treat yourself to a sauna (free of charge). Our hair-dressing
salon's specialists are on hand to take care of your hair,
whatever your age or gender. Among the salon's services: shampoos,
hair-care, hairstyling and haircuts, tinting and henna.
Evenving Entertainment
Mauritians are excellent musicians and singers, and séga,
the country's emblematic dance, frenetic in its rhythm, sensual
in its movements, colourful in its expression, and showcased
in La Pirogue's Séga Evening, complete with traditional
instruments (triangle and ravane) is an experience not to
be missed under the stars.
There are also a number of variety shows, notably Zenfan des
Iles (literally, children of the islands, meaning island-born),
Africa Diaspora, and Salsa Carnival; and, of course, the resort's
resident band for dancing till the small hours of the morning,
every night.
Restaurant
From the lavish buffets of Thatches, the main restaurant,
to romantic dinners under the thatch-tops of Paul et Virginie's
dining-islets overhanging the infinity pool, the food experience
at La Pirogue is an exciting voyage of discovery through the
flavours of the world, with a unique emphasis on demonstration,
generosity and variety.
